Speakers

 
 
BA (Town and Country Planning from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, England.) DIP (Environmental Resource Management DIT) - Consulting Town Planner.
 
Gavin is a professional town planner with over ten years experience working throughout Ireland as a town planning consultant for both private sector and public sector clients.   Gavin specialises in the preparation of environmental assessment, masterplans and local area plans. Gavin is currently working on An Taisce's 'This Place Matters' project - a nationwide community capacity building initiative to enhance public and ENGO participation in the Development Plan preparation process and to improve the quality of submissions
Head of School of Real Estate and Construction Economics DIT. Lecturer in Property Valuation.
B.A. LL.M. M.Sc.
Formerly solicitor for the UK government's Department for Environment  (Defra). He is currently pursuing an IRCSET-funded Ph.D. in the Department of Geography at Trinity College Dublin, focusing on climate change and nature conservation policy.
B.A Philosophy UCD. An Taisce’s Heritage Officer.   A life-long member of An Taisce working for the organisation since 1999. Having toured Ireland by bicycle and worked on applications for development in Special Amenity Areas across the country Ian has extensive knowledge and over view of development in the past three decades.
Anja is involved in European and Irish policy and practice with relation to biodiversity and water quality elements of Sustainable Development. She is on the National Biodiversity Forum; is an Environmental representative on Comhar – The Sustainable Development Council;   She is also very involved in ‘WEB’ – Working and Educating for Biodiversity’ a network of NGOs active on biodiversity issues. Previously Anja was an Ecology consultant with a special interest in the conservation and management of hedgerows.
B.A ECON HONS Politics( Sheffield University UK). MSc Spatial Planning DIT. Judy has worked at a local level on planning issues specialising in development plans in County Wicklow for 15 years and has been on An Taisce’s Board of Management for the past 3 years
