What is a legacy?
A legacy is:
- A gift of property (esp personal property, money etc) by will; a bequest
- Anything handed down from the past, as from an ancestor or predecessor; eg the legacy of the Vikings in Ireland
One of the founding principles of An Taisce is that we are guardians of Ireland’s legacy to future generations. We work to ensure that what we pass along to our children and their children is a country that is as rich in heritage, natural beauty and vibrant culture as the wonderful Ireland that we live in today.
